Last night or Tonight?

Last night or Tonight?

Is this sentence correct?

Tonight it was very hot, so I feel tired today.

Last night or Tonight?

The above sentence should be Last night it was very hot, so I feel tired today.

Tonight is the upcoming night and last night is the previous night. This never changes even if it is the morning and you are speaking about the previous night – it is alway last night.

Even though it seems logical, we don’t say yesterday night – instead use last night. However, yesterday evening is fine!
